If examination for signs of heart failure (leg examination, lung bases auscultation, JVP measurement) is not done within 5 moves the patient will develop acute decompensated heart failure and will present to hospital with hypoxia secondary to pulmonary oedema. If the knowledge check is failed, the student/team needs to get to the Purple Room within 2 moves to commence diuretic treatment or the patient will go into a coma and the team loses the game.
