Review Statement

The University of Newcastle is committed to publishing high-quality open textbooks which meet the needs of students and educators. This book has been peer-reviewed by experts in Health Professions Education from the University of Newcastle. Each casebook was reviewed by experts from New South Wales Health (Hunter New England Local Health District and Central Coast Local Health District) with specialist knowledge and experience in the applicable medical specialty: Cardiology, Endocrinology, Pediatric Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, General Practice, and Emergency Medicine.

Reviews examined the comprehensiveness, accuracy and relevance of the content to the context of Australian medical students at the transition between predominantly campus-based learning and placement-based learning.

The authors and publication team would like to thank the reviewers for the time, care, and commitment they contributed to our project. We recognise that peer reviewing is a generous act of service on their part. This book and board game would not be the robust, valuable educational resources that they are were it not for the reviewers’ feedback and input.

This peer review statement is based on that created by Monash University in their open textbook Japanese Introductory 1, published under a CC-BY-NC 4.0 licence.
