Dr Amara Atif is a Lecturer at the School of Computer Science within the Faculty of Engineering and IT at the University of Technology Sydney. Amara is an expert in educational technology, with a comprehensive skill set that includes research and development in the design of technology-enhanced learning environments, human-computer interaction, artificial intelligence in education, and learning analytics/educational data mining.

At UTS, she developed the undergraduate subject “Business Intelligence,” skillfully integrating the FEIT’s Indigenous Graduate Attribute (IGA), which focuses on historically and culturally informed Indigenous knowledge systems.

With years of combined experience in both the IT industry and academia, he has worked with leading organisations to implement innovative BI solutions that drive data-driven decision-making, optimise business processes, and enhance organisational performance.

As an academic, he employs constructive and effective teaching methods that foster a collaborative learning environment. He takes a futuristic approach to learning, engaging students through both theory and practical application.

Additionally, as a certified business analyst (ECBA-IIBA), he integrates his unique blend of industry experience and academic insight to provide a comprehensive, real-world perspective on Business Intelligence. This enables him to make complex concepts accessible to both beginners and seasoned professionals.
