AI Fluency
Part II introduces a framework for developing competency in AI use within legal practice. The section emphasises that AI fluency goes beyond technical knowledge to encompass strategic thinking about when and how to use AI tools effectively. The AI Fluency Framework provides five core competencies that legal practitioners must develop: understanding the purpose and suitability of AI for specific tasks, prompting effectively with AI systems, evaluating outputs with professional scepticism, maintaining professional responsibility and ethical standards, and considering the broader context and implications of AI use.
