Acknowledgement of Country

The University of Newcastle

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands within our footprint areas: the Awabakal, Darkinjung, Biripai, Worimi, Wonnarua, and Eora Nations.

We also pay respect to the wisdom of the Elders past, present and emerging. We recognise that First Nations sovereignty was never ceded. This continent always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
