The following abbreviations are used throughout this book:

ANZSMM: Australian and New Zealand Standard Method of Measurement
ASMM: Australian Standard Method of Measurement
BQ: Bill of Quantities
CAD: Computer-aided Design
CHS: Circular Hollow Section
f’c: Specified compressive strength of concrete at 28 days
MPa: Megapascal
PDF: Portable Document Format
PF: Pad Footing
QS : Quantity Surveying
RF: Raft Footing
RHS: Rectangular Hollow Section
SF: Strip Footing
SHS: Square Hollow Section
UOM: Unit of Measurement

The terms “RIB CostX” and “CostX” are used interchangeably throughout the handbook.
