Appendix

The Australian Cost Management Manual provides the line diagram of cost management activities in a construction project. It contains stages A-brief stage, B-outline proposals, C-sketch design, D-documentation, E-tender, and F-construction. There are outputs provided to the client in each stage, including the Brief Stage Budget, Outline Proposal Budget, Sketch Design Cost Plan, Develop Design Estimate, Tender Document Cost Plan, Tender Report and Final Account. Pre-construction cost management occurs from Stage A to D. Cost planning activities are conducted from Stage A to C, and a Priced Bill or Schedule of Prices will be available for Stage D.
